Privacy Policy

RMM is a companion app used to securely pair with, monitor, and control supported render workstations. This policy explains the information used by the RMM mobile app and related remote service.

Information used for app functionality

• Installation identifier: a persistent identifier generated for the app installation, used for secure pairing and one-phone-per-seat behavior.
• Device display name: the iPhone/iPad name, or a name you choose in RMM Settings, used to identify the paired phone.
• Pairing and session credentials: tokens and related information required to authenticate the phone to the paired workstation and remote service.
• Workstation and render information: such as workstation name, connected software, project/camera names, frame, progress, timing, status, render history, and hardware/render diagnostics supplied by the workstation.
• Render preview images: preview images may be transmitted or displayed when you use remote render monitoring or review features.
• Technical request information: service infrastructure may process normal network information such as IP address, request time, user agent, and security logs as necessary to deliver and protect the service.

Device permissions

Camera: used to scan a Mobile Pairing QR code. Local Network: used to communicate directly with your paired workstation when it is available on the same network. Photos (Add Only): used only when you choose to save a render preview to your Photos library.

Local and remote connections

When available, RMM can communicate directly with the paired workstation on your local network. Remote connections use HTTPS to the RMM service. Local-network communication may use the workstation's local address and port supplied during pairing.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide pairing, authentication, render monitoring and control, history, previews, widgets, Live Activities, licensing/entitlement checks, service security, abuse prevention, and support.

Service providers

RMM uses Bunny.net infrastructure for parts of its hosted API/CDN and service delivery. Purchase and license workflows may also use third-party providers such as Gumroad for sales and Resend for transactional license/support email. The iOS app does not provide a purchasing flow and does not contact Gumroad for in-app purchases. Providers process information only as needed for the services they provide and under their own privacy terms.

Retention

Pairing credentials remain on your device while it is paired. Render and operational information is retained only as needed to operate the relevant feature, maintain service integrity, troubleshoot issues, and meet legitimate security or legal requirements. Security, licensing, transaction, fraud-prevention, or legal records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary or required by law.

Deletion and unpairing

Using Settings → Disconnect Phone requests revocation of the mobile pairing session where reachable and removes local pairing credentials from the app. To request deletion of eligible service-side records, visit the Data Deletion page or email support@rendermanagermonitor.com.

Children

RMM is a professional render-monitoring utility and is not directed to children.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures intended to protect pairing credentials and service data, including authenticated sessions and encrypted HTTPS transport for remote service connections. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when RMM features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top will be updated when material changes are published.
